Hey Everybirdie,

This is such a coincidence. About one week ago I was in my favorite bird shop and spotted this huge new "rope square ladder thing" for the lack of a better description.

Anyway, I was so impressed with it that I called Donna (Skye's Mom) and told her to rush over to the store to take a look at it. Neither of us had seen it before but Noelle said they are becoming fairly popular.

Long story short, I spotted one in Bird Talk Magazine!! This one is smaller than the one I saw at the store but you'll get the idea. Take a look and let me know what you think. Have you seen this? Anyone own it? I am hoping for feedback before I buy it for the aviary. Thanks!

UPDATE: I just went back to the website... click on the section where it says, See the getagrip in action. WOW!!! One woman must have bought a dozen... LOOK AT THIS!!!

I saw this too. Neat. I think the birds who love climbing would go for this in a heart beat.

I'd say it goes beyond a toy tho. It'd offer lots of climbing/swinging action if hung lengthwise. So I'd rate it up there as an "exercise/burn off the energy device" ;).

I agree Toy!!! I'm thinking that we can hang all sorts of toys from it. I just love all of the photos showing how other owners have placed this in their bird's play areas. I'd love to buy a few of them! LOL I really hope I can hear feed back from some of the people who own these before I invest in one or two.:)

I know JaJaBinks would have a ball on it. Course I don't have any place to hang one. Even with 9 foot ceilings my house is over full. The aviary is used up with their hickory tree, swing, boing & orb. Oh well JaJaBinks will just have to keep on doing what she does best.....pick on me, LOL.

Well I went ahead and got the large, so far everyone seems to like but the weather keeps getting crappy (CO)so they haven't spent too much time on it. They will be coming out w/ a 1/2 size version that I think I will get too because the diamater is just right but boy is that thing HUGE!!

I bought one on ebay and received it last month. A large one and it is HUGE! But what a deal I got. I have it hung in the girls room and Bella and Marina absolutely LOVE it. It is the best investment I ever made!!!

I'm going to pick up another one is the soon near future. These are awesome for playing on, hanging on and definately energy burners!!!

Oh WOW I have definitely got to save room in my aviary for a Get a Grip for Picasso and my other parrots. There is unlimited uses for it and I just know the fids would be so happy playing on that. I can't see how you could have a fat parrot with that and a Jumbo Atom! I can see I'm going to stay broke reading this forum all the time lol. I can't wait to buy these things. The pics looked so awesome of the parrots just hanging on the Get a Grip. Has anyone bought one yet? I also liked those Curly Cue things that you could hang kale, spinach etc on wet and they can get wet while eating it or shredding/foraging the food. I'm going to try some of those also. I have to be careful, I'm supposed to be buying a Green Wing baby soon and we've decided we'd like to get another Scarlet. I've got to hang on to some money! lol Oh well we've just about got our son thru college hehe
