Hi. I was wondering if I can mix different beans, lentils and stuff like that together cooked of course? Also what about frozen or canned items? New to this so I will appriciate as many new recipes as possible. Would like to expand meals. Also one more question, How often do I give Ruby these meals? Just like we would eat ourselves or once a day? Thanks in advance...

You don't want to use any canned veggies. Too much salt. Fresh or frozen is best. Parrots should have a varied diet each day, so I'd say veggies once a day.

I make veggie omelets:
1 Cup thawed frozen veggies
1 egg
a pinch of cinnamon
a pinch of garlic powder salt free
You can toss in anything you want. Just make sure you have enough egg to hold it all together.
Mix & fry. Let cool & serve. I place any & all foods other than their seed mix & nuts in a dish on the cage grate. I like my birds to climb down to eat. Left over omelet will keep 3 days in the frig. You can even serve it cold right out of the frige.
