Hello! I am owned by 3 beautiful macaws! I have an outside gazebo and we never use it, so i was thinking about making it an outside aviary any sugestions anyone?

My outside avairy is enclosed w/ 1/4" hardware cloth. I've often thought how beautiful an enclosed gazebo would look as an aviary. Is it close to the house? Mine is connected to the inside aviary by a round flight tunnel also made of hardware cloth and wood. This is for my smaller guys though, the cockatiels, parakeets, and finches. There is a cat door in the wall so they can come and go. It is surprising how often they like to go outside and in the wildest weather! Depending on where you live, you may want to put up a solid panel or 3 sided 'box' to protect them from winds, and in hot times there could be a mist system on one side. You may want to enclose the rafters with wire mesh or be sure they are not painted. I'm sure they would love their outside playground! How about some big pots of wheatgrass to forage and run toes through?!!
