Hey Natalie,

I saw the pictorial of your bird room and had to say thank you! My bird room isn't very big and floor space is at a premium. You gave me some great ideas to "expand" via the ceiling.

I just got 2 get-a-grips, 2 fine vines and an atom is on the way. May need your help when it comes time to hang them, lol, not exactly handy in that area!

Question...does your MM try to destroy the vine ropes? I'm hoping Arabella B&G won't beak her way thru the getagrip in the first 30 seconds!

Thanks again,
Susan

Susan awesome news. The Get-a-Grips are wonderful as are vines! So far our MM/Bella has not chewed up anything except for her toys and the beams a little. She has been an exception so far. She is out all day in the room and so far so good.

Angie also has a few Grids for the boys and they too are out all day long playing in there room and so far it's all still in one piece. What I do have hanging in the room also is a Stainless Steel Bucket which I put foraging things in (Cinnamon Sticks, Bamboo pieces, Schredables, Wood blocks, Plastic Toys, Nuts, Foot Toys). I just alternate the contents so they don't get bored.

As for our Atom they all LOVE it. They spend tons of time climbing all over and in an out of it. It's amazing to watch. If they have enough toys to play with, chew on and climb on it should be enough distraction for them not to chew on other things. However, always keep in mind they all have their own unique personalities and they are wild birds in captivity. Just a small reminder.

As for hanging from the ceiling just make certain Arabella is clipped and never within reach of the light and ensure it has a good covering. I've had NO problems in this area but still want to ensure safety where needed.

Please post pics, I would love to see what you do.
