I just wanted you to know that I'm almost done on my first vintage sign for the office. A long time ago I bought this static cling sign for a window that had our company logo on it. Once I moved into the office and had a professional sign person put my name up etc. he explained to me the problem with those static cling clear signs. They don't look good!
So, I figured that's OK, I just kept it folded up in a box. LOL. Well, since it was in my hot car it started gettting a bit crackled looking PERFECT for me to get started.
I spray glued a simple foam board and glued the sign to it. I then pulled out my paints and started painting over it to give it an aged look. I must have gotten a bit carried away because hubby said it was too dark. I decided to take it out back and SAND some of the paint off! Before I knew it I had this really neat looking sign that looks old!
I'm trying to figure out whether I want to frame it or maybe even screw it to a thin sheet of plywood. Painting the nails to make it look rustic. I still have a little more work to do on it but so far it's really neat! I'll take a photo as soon as I'm done.
