Hi everybirdie,

As you all know, I do not buy ANY dry fruit/veggie bird mixes because almost all of them contain Sulfur Dioxide, a nasty chemical used as a preservative in dried fruits and vegetables.

It frustrates me that the chemical is virtually never listed on bird mixes, even if they read "all natural." It does, however, have to be listed on "people" food due to FDA requirements.

I have been purchasing a few died fruits that don't have SD but it's tough to find dried veggies ... until now!

Some of you may already use "Just Tomatoes" so this will not be news to you. I have seen the Just Tomatoes line in a few stores but I would not purchase the products until I researched them. I was worried that they might contain some hidden preservatives and sugars.

I'm happy to report that I reviewed their website and found nothing but good, healthy and natural dried fruits and veggies. Plus, they are now selling ORGANIC products too!

Now I can buy dried veggies to add to my grain mixes! My birds will be thrilled.

If you already buy Just Tomatoes, please share your opinions with us! The one thing I noticed is that these products seem pricey but that may just be where I am shopping.

Here's the website, in case you are interested.

OMG Angie I remember these now. I bought them once and even liked them myself. LOL. They are pricey though. I will have to do more research and see if I can find them cheaper by chance. Although they are good. You can add them to the dry foraging mix and even their daily food or add them to birdie bread! Ok thanks so much for reminding me!!!
