Hello...
I am wanting to make some of my own toys for Ruby.
My question is, what and how can I dye pieces of wood?
I tryed kool-aid and food coloring but they didnt work, unless I was doing something wrong.
Any suggestions would greatly be appricated.
Thanks

Good question Keri. This is on my list this Spring/Summer. I know certain Parrot sites do sell die for Toy making though! I haven't tried it yet.

Hey guys, I made some really bright colors with Wilton's which is a food coloring for cake frosting. I used a huge plastic container and put in only enough water to cover the chunks of wood. I dropped the Wilton's in and swirled and swirled until the wood got bright enough for me. Here's a photo I took awhile back:

By the way. My favorite wood is PINE! It's easy to cut and easy to dye.

Great advice! Are there any websites you all really like on how to make our own toys?
