Posted - 05/09/2006 : 04:31:05 Hi Angie and all. On 4/22, I had a really bad accident. I fell head first down a flight of 14 stairs and injured myself badly. I broke my right wrist, my right orbital eye socket, and my right cheekbone. I also had more than 200 stitches in my face.
I have at least 2 more surgeries to go thru as well. Im around but cant really type. Harmony misses her mommy and curls up on my chest and cries when I hold her. Shes been such a good girl. Her nipping me has stopped completely and she wants to be with me all the time.
Just wannted to let everyone know that I'm around but cant respond much.
Laurie

Posted - 05/09/2006 : 08:47:17 Marie,
Big hugs to you too. Thank goodness you weren't hurt badly in the car accident and that your child is okay. Isn't it funny how 1 broken finger can cause such a nuisance though? We take things for granted so much in our lives until something goes wrong. I am so happy to hear that all went well with your child and that you are okay from the wreck. Hang in there with the broken finger and know this a test of patience. My friend has an American bulldog and he's a brut and came running at me and I went to block myself and he flipped my middle fingernail right back off the nail bed. I thought I'd die for a few minutes there and ended up having to go to a dermatologist in the end and having the nail removed and all sorts of stuff. What I found intersting was, everything was out to "hit" that finger!!!! So just know, objects become attracted to that one finger! lol Take care sweetie and good luck to you. Best wishes, Rhonda |

Posted - 05/09/2006 : 08:31:56 Hi Laurie, Soft hugs, I know you must feel like one big bruise. I am so sorry for your misfortune. What a horrible thing to happen. I fell down 2 flights of stairs when I was a child and luckily wasn't hurt but I remember the bruises and the fear I have of stairs today. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you heal quickly. Hopefully this will all be over soon. Best wishes, Rhonda |

Posted - 05/09/2006 : 08:02:49 Oh Laurie, I can relate, and I feel for you. In the last week I was in a car accident, my child had an emergency appendetomy, and I just broke my index finger of my writing hand. And I was feeling a little sorry for myself until I read your post. Heal well! 200 stiches. You poor thing! I wish you a cloud of beautiful healing energy!
